I've re-opened my shop on Storenvy and am excited about selling again!  For this Featured Favorites Friday I decided to take a look around the Storenvy marketplace and see what Samhain goodies I could find!

Check out this amazing Pendulum Board titled "Curiosity" by Kimberly Abbot of The Alluring Path.  I love the six color choices she has and I love the owl, especially her face.  The whole shop is full of lovely things, especially the Celtic Knot Pendulum Board and some beautiful scrying pendants.  Be sure to check her out!

This candle from Artiemis Secret Place looks so witchy!  I love that it's scented with Witches Brew and that the maker uses eco-friendly soy wax.  This or the two candle set would add flare to any Samhain gathering.

How stunning is this piece from The Bone Slums?!!!  It's called the Cemetery Seer and the oracular witch in me is drawn very strongly to the stunning opening in this piece which is perfectly accented with dark brown cord and carnelian.  Every piece in the store is cruelty-free and sunning with organic beauty!

Featured Favorites Friday: Lugh Time

As the wheel of the year truns those of us in the northen hemisphere have recently celebrated the first of the harvest festivals, sometimes called Lammas and other times celebrated as Lughnassah.  Today I am sharing with you some beautiful artisan crafted items that celebrate the Celtic God Lugh.

I love the idea of these Magical Melts from Moonlit Herbals.  What a creative way to combine multiple magical components together in a way that can be used without an open flame.

Her Light of Lugh Magical Melts are scented with Satsuma Oranges, Cassis and Pineapple and contain soy wax, organic herbs and flowers, glitter, crystals and the highest quality essential, essence and fragrance oils.

This gives me an idea to set up a long-lasting spell or altar, honoring Lugh and the Light to last all day, bringing blessings and strength to my home.

This beautiful hand-crafted Altar Tile featuring Lugh's shield was made by one of my favorite etsy sellers, Paula of The Whimsical Pixie.  The detail is amazing and I love the grain accents along the edges.

This piece honors Lugh as a sovereign protector and warrior. For Paula, his shield represents ability and versatility, attributes that have helped us survive long winters for century's.

This tile would be a beautiful seasonal accent for not just an altar but a home as well.

This hand-sculpted pendant depicting the Spear of Lugh crafted by Caeruleus Lady of Hooded Crow Crafts just jumped right off the page at me.  The detail is amazing and as the paint is metallic it will shine as it moves.

There are many myths surrounding the Spear of Lugh including one that tells the spear head had to be kept in a pot of water or it would ignite and cause fire around it.  This pendant surely brings to light that same fiery and powerful essence.

The talented artisans at Hooded Crow Craft would be happy to work with anyone to create a beautiful and meaningful pendant to honor their own gods.  Such work makes my hear joyful.

Mickie Muller is one of my favorite artists when it comes to laying the might and majesty of the Gods onto canvas and paper.  I am familiar with her main shop offering various items with her artwork on them but I have just found out that she is also the creator of a Celtic Ogham Divination Oracle called Voice of the Trees.  This is SO cool.  No really... SO COOL!

In her Voice of the Trees shop you can find prints, mugs, tarot bags, mirrors and home decor with the deep and meaningful images representing the Trees of the Ogham.

Today I chose to share with you a beautiful wall candle sconce depicting Lugh for the card of Ash.  This card represents transformation and action, breaking inertia and taking care of business.  I wish all of us the power of this card in the months ahead!

Featured Favorites Friday: Spring is coming!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, spring is coming!  Part of me knows this because I see the clucking bunny that heralds the arrival of my favorite candy ever; part of me knows this because there are forsythias blooming here; part of me knows this because the energetic forces around my life are swinging closer and close to the balance of the equinox.  It's exciting!

It's also a time to consider focusing on bringing the fertile and abundant energy of the season into your life.  These cascarones from SandiEnchantedGarden are whimsical but powerful witch-crafted tools to help you do just that.

This Cauldron Spash from SpelledWithaW is just the thing to enhance the mood of your ritual space.  Her work is amazing, beautiful and aromatic and the witch-crafter her self is a joy to spend time with (had a blast a Sacred Space!)

What ritual space wouldn't be more complete with this beautiful quilt wall-hanging from EveryWitchWay.  The colors are amazing and the seller's craftsmanship is beautiful (I can attest to that personally).  She has patters for every Sabbat and I believe one could talk her into making you your very own (for a fair price).

My offering this week is a spell to Brigid, a member of the Celtic Pantheon:

Brigid’s Flame Candle Spell

This spell is performed during Imbolc, Brigid’s feast; the day we remember we are half-way to spring.

Lady of the eternal fire and the healing well, please be present with me tonight.

Use a pin to carve into a yellow spell candle; let the creativity flow through your hand into the designs, runes or letters that you place on the candle.  Write out a petition paper containing three words that you are asking for the passion and motivation to complete during the upcoming year.  Light the spell candle as you burn the petition paper say the following (out loud or in your mind):

As the light of Brigid’s flame grows, let creativity rise around me.

Sit back and watch the candle burn.  As the candle is burning say 7 times: 

As the air feeds the flame, passion shall feed my creativity.

If possible, focus and meditate on your desires until the candle is almost burned out.  Combine the ashes and left over wax together and bury it in the earth as close to your home as possible.

Moving on, one of my 2012 goals is to have at least two listings up for every Sabbat so here are my offerings for Imbolc:

Sunday Intentional: New Years?

New Years is an interesting thing for me to look at deeply as it's not really part of the turning of my internal calendar.  A few years ago at Imbolc I pushed myself to really follow the wheel of the year and the natural patterns of the world.  Because of this goal I already celebrated the end of my year and the beginning of the next at Samhain and the Solstice and I plan to begin the new years goals on Imbolc.

That being said, I have yet to set goals for the next solar circuit and I should have done that at the Solstice and be in planning stages now.  I guess I'm a week or so behind so... as cliche as this post is, here are my goals for the next year:



I will have two products up in my etsy store for ALL sabbats. Yule went well and Imbolc is already planned but needs to be posted.  My etsy store is helping me be a better witch and I will continue to improve and grow my product lines.

I will participate in the 2012 Pagan Reading Challenge and the 2012 Witchy Books Reading Challenge by reading non-fiction witchy and pagan books that have been sitting on my shelves gathering dust.

Yule Magic Blog Party

Welcome Blog Party People!  Many blessings to you and yours through this season and many thanks to Sally of The Village Witch for hosting.

My favorite part of Yule is what we, as modern pagans, rarely get to do... just sit and enjoy the silence of the season.  Yule is the quiet time of the growing earth and, for me, a time to sit in silence and breath before I have to come to life again, just as the earth does.

So my gift to you all is permission to STOP, go outside, look around you and just breath in the stillness.

Blessed Yule and all Hail the re-birth of the Sun.

New stuff for the next season

Winter is one of my favorite seasons.  Between Samhain and Imbolc even with the craziness of the modern holidays, the chance to chill is great.  This weekend I finally had enough time to put some new stuff together and get it actually listed in time!  Check it out!

Yule Wishes Holly and Candle Spell

First the simple and festive use of color magic, oils and scents, and some basic tree lore to have the Holly bring positive opportunities into your life.  I love that this spell is so simple but could be very effective in bringing the spirit of the season into your home.

Red is a color of passion and renewal through fire and the blessed and dressed candle will help focus your intention.

Holly is known as a plant of protection and in this spell you will use the leaves to protect your magical intention through the winter so you can see results as the spring approaches.

Spell Kit - Longest Night and Return of the Sun

My second offering of the season is a two part spell kit that is designed to honor and celebrate the Longest Night and then to welcome the return of the Sun.  Included are two spell candles that will be blessed and dressed with oils, a hand blended spell mix and a mini-altar cloth covered in blue stars.

With this kit my goal is to help people take a few moments and celebrate the Sabbat within the Wheel.
