Featured Favorites Friday: Sacred Space is Coming!!!

**Important note: There's still time to enter the giveaway today!**

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I please introduce you to the Sacred Space Conference.  I personally endorse this as one of the best metaphysical conferences in the Mid-Atlantic, cause I also LOVE Changing Times Changing Worlds up North.  If you are looking for a way to learn more about the many pagan paths than what can be found in the 101 books and general workshops, then this conference is for you!  I have attended the last two years and have been amazed at the wealth of knowledge brought to the table, both by nationally recognized teachers and our local and regional leaders/teachers here in the Mid-A.  Here's some info from Ms. Reece, one of the Board Members:
The Sacred Space Conference is the premier annual esoteric conference on the East Coast.  This event will be held in the Washington, DC area (Laurel, Maryland) from Thursday, March 8 through Sunday, March 11.  The programming for the conference is primarily intended for intermediate to advanced practitioners of any esoteric tradition.  Each year we bring in nationally and internationally renowned teachers as well as offering programs from leaders within the mid-Atlantic region, from New Jersey down to North Carolina.  Our teachers have told us that one of the reasons they love teaching at Sacred Space is that they are able to offer materials that they often cannot teach elsewhere because those people who attend the conference are dedicated and more advanced in their practice.  The conference programs are widely varied and include 43 workshops, lectures, and rituals, including the New Orleans Voodoo Conjure Dance.
Oooooohhh the Conjure Dance.... It was an amazing experience and one I very very much look forward to joining again. Super pretty altar and offering space to more Deity than I could name here, all being celebrated together in the spirit of community, simply amazing!  (the computer is not letting me add images... I will try again later...grr)

Registration is $150 for all four days of the conference and including all events. The single day price is $75 or you can come for any two days for $125.  If you stay at the hotel, please tell them you are with the conference.  This will ensure that you both receive the conference rate and make certain that you are counted towards the number of rooms the conference is required to sell.

Now, I know that $150 seems like (and really, is) a lot of money right now however the depth of the presentations and workshops is significant and many of these types of presentations could run $35 to $100 for individual workshops; at Sacred Space, you get them all at the same location, with a group of people focused and ready to learn, for comparatively little money.  Also, there may still be Volunteer Opportunities.

Personally I have made amazing friends, learned things I never would have found on my own, experienced deity in new and enlightening ways, gained a deeper understanding of my own oracular skills, danced, laughed, cried a little, learned that 9am is too early for me to path work to the Egyptian Pantheon, listened to leaders in my local, regional, and national community, explored paths that were entirely new to me, enjoyed banter, sang, loved and really lived my faith at this conference for two years in a row.
Please come on out and join us.

If nothing else, consider spreading the word.

This year the Featured Presenters are:

  1. I was told about this by Christian at the last meetup. :) Thinking it might be fun and informative! I don't really have the finances or resources for it this year (still new at my job, so I shouldn't take that kind of time off), but I'd love to attend a future one!

Are they all held in the DC area, or just this year?
